About us

The Hilltop Hideaway is something that we've put a lot of heart, hard work and time creating. What began as an idea, has grown into a place that we're incredibly proud of.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Matlock Bath, we've built somewhere to escape the every day and enjoy a little time away. From the natural stone and carefully chosen interiors to the hot tub and outdoor space, every detail has been considered to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply fancy a night or two away, we hope that you'll feel right at home.

How we started

The Hilltop Hideaway began with an idea and a piece of hillside land with beautiful views across the valley.

What started as a vision, soon turned into a hands on project, with the aim of creating something unique that would make the most of its surroundings.

Jack took on the challenge of building the cabin himself, from the initial groundwork and foundations through to the stone walls, roof and interior finishing touches. It has involved plenty of hard work, long days and a lot of determination at times but we are very excited to finally be able to share it with you!
